A Book for Volleyball Coaches That Goes Beyond The Court

Happy Saturday everyone! I have exciting news to share with you all. I have been hard at work over the last two months writing my first eBook about coaching volleyball!

My book, "Coaching Volleyball: A Survival Guide for Your First Season," is now available through Amazon and covers a wide range of topics. Inside you’ll learn:

  • What your coaching philosophy is.

  • The main roles and responsibilities for both head coaches and assistant coaches.

  • How to run tryouts (including skills to test for and how to let players know they made the team).

  • The practice design template I use for 85% of my season.

  • How to keep stats and then USE the data to improve performance.

  • How to plan for an end-of-season party.

  • Getting ready for year two (because after a successful first season, you’ll be hooked)!

There are tons of drill books out there, and lots of free drills online as well (Get The Pancake included!), so I wanted to write something for you that goes deeper and prepares you for success. My book focuses on all of the ACTUAL work you have to do, not just coaching. Check out my Coaches Resources page for more information on the book. Amazon even has a neat feature called "look inside" where you can see get a sneak peek at all 10 of my chapters!
